The Louisiana Forest Festival in Winnfield, Louisiana pays tribute to the timber industry–the number one industry in Winn Parish– and a top industry in the state. The festival represents both historical and modern forestry and logging practices and celebrates the deep roots of the forestry community. Check out numerous forestry equipment displays and exhibits and be a spectator to chainsaw carving, timber sports, axe throwing and lumberjack events. Professional lumberjack sports competitors come to Winn Parish from throughout the United States to participate in the show.

Aromas from the cooking contest and delicious dishes from local vendors, paired with the sounds of live music, will fill the air throughout the day. Browse the homemade crafts and join in the fun of contests and prize drawings. With children’s games and activities such as Family Train Rides, the Jurassic Kingdom Dinosaur Exhibit, the Interactive Kid Zone and a Petting Zoo, this festival is fun for the whole family. Get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and experience this truly unique festival deep in the heart of North Central Louisiana.
