City of Delcambre

Delcambre

Fresh seafood, rich farms, cattle herds and a growing community help make Delcambre one of the most promising Louisiana towns along the Gulf Coast.

Things to Do

Experience the city’s annual Shrimp Festival, a major affair. Explore Jefferson Island, or Bayou Carlin Cove. Or, you can drop a line in the water at the fishing pier.

Places to Stay

To make the most of your stay, consider the Carriage House Hotel, a luxury hotel experience on River Ranch.

Food

Local fishermen harvest an abundance of seafood, much of which is served in Iberia Parish restaurants. Stroll the Delcambre Direct Seafood marketplace or the Delcambre Seafood and Farmers Market, where consumers are able to contact fishermen directly to purchase shrimp and other seafood fresh from the dock.

Getting There

It's easy to navigate Delcambre — especially since the city is only half an hour from Lafayette. If you're flying into town, rent a car, hail a taxi or book a rideshare from the Lafayette Regional Airport.
