Broussard
Broussard is in the heart of Cajun Country, as evidenced by the 14 percent of residents who still speak French. There’s also its claim to original Cajun ancestry.
Things to Do
The city is home to at least 15 turn-of-the-century Queen Anne Revival residences, all within blocks of the Broussard house. After you check out downtown Broussard, be sure to stop by the Zoo of Acadiana: Zoosiana as well as Parish Brewing Company, which offers free brewery tours on Saturday afternoons.
