Louisiana Peach Festival Brings Sweet Fun to Ruston
June is prime time for peaches in North Louisiana, and for more than 60 years this Ruston festival has celebrated the fuzzy fruit.
The rich, rolling farmlands of north Louisiana are known for many delicious crops, but perhaps none are as famous as Ruston peaches. Juicy and oh-so-sweet, they are a staple of summer, celebrated at the Louisiana Peach Festival held each June.
Discover the homegrown flavors, art, music and culture of Ruston at the Louisiana Peach Festival. Groove to hours of live music, stroll through a juried arts market, eat delicious meals from local food vendors, explore exciting kids’ activities and more, all in the heart of charming Downtown Ruston.
Don't Miss: Saturday morning, head downtown early to get first pick of handmade goods and arts from 75 local vendors at the Peach Arts Market. Across the street from the market is The Kids Alley, where interactive art experiences are available for children of all ages to enjoy.
Must-taste: Once you’ve worked up an appetite, visit Park Avenue for a variety of festival eats including meat pies, pizza, barbecue and more. Of course, the typical festival fare is tasty, but you’ve got to try a peachy-treat too. On a June day, there’s no better way to cool off than with a bowl of peach ice cream.
Music: Enjoy hours of live music throughout the day on the Railroad Park Stage. See a full music line up.
