Many mountain bikers rank the Lincoln Parish Park Trail among the top trails in the nation for its thrilling twists and turns. Winding up and down steep inclines, the 10-mile loop was designed in 1992 and lies inside a 260-acre forested park.

Although the park offers technical terrain, it features signage that shows you the degree of difficulty so you know exactly where you’re headed. The park's paved interior road intersects with the trail in four places, so you're never too far from the parking area, and it provides several picnic areas, a small lake with a sandy beach and a swimming area.

Afterward, cool off with a crisp, juicy peach from Mitcham Farms, the largest peach orchard in Louisiana. Visit the farm’s general store for homemade preserves in flavors like blackberry or fig, or sample a sweet and warm peach cobbler.
