Day Three: Patterson
Rise early for a memorable fishing experience in the Atchafalaya Basin, America’s largest river swamp. Stock up on bait, snacks and supplies at Doiron’s Landing, then head out on the water to catch largemouth bass, crappie (locally known as sac-a-lait) and even the occasional garfish. The Basin’s winding waterways and cypress trees create a setting unlike any other.

Nestled in the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area, this course is surrounded by wetlands and wildlife, with each hole named after a plant native to the region. With its championship layout and stunning natural backdrop, it’s considered one of Louisiana’s most unique golf destinations.
