Lake Claiborne State Park

The woods of Lake Claiborne provide great biking and hiking opportunities. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and nature tours are available regularly. The Whispering Pines Bike Trail offers a good workout through the hills and ravines surrounding the lake.

Beyond biking, you can also swim, fish or camp overnight at the park. At full reservoir level, the lake has a surface area of 6,400 acres. A sandy beach situated on an inlet of the lake is protected from boats and water skiers.
