Golf & Music Trail
Groove to Louisiana's jazz and blues along this melodic trail.
Day One: Carencro & Lafayette
Start your journey in Carencro with a round at Farm d’Allie Golf Club, a picturesque 18-hole course that blends rolling terrain with Louisiana’s natural beauty. After a round of golf, make your way to Lafayette and kick off the night at the Blue Moon Saloon, a world-famous honky tonk.
For dinner, explore Lafayette’s renowned dining scene. Try Johnson’s Boucanière for smoked meats and boudin or Parish Brewing Co. for local craft beer and light bites. Rest at the Juliet Hotel, a boutique stay downtown. The next morning, experience a traditional zydeco breakfast — where you can fuel up on biscuits, eggs and boudin while local bands play — before heading to Baton Rouge.
Day Two: Plaquemine & Baton Rouge
Travel along the Mississippi River to Plaquemine and tee off at The Island Golf Course, a semi-private course known for its lush setting and challenging play. On your way to Baton Rouge, stop at Teddy’s Juke Joint in Zachary. This intimate spot is legendary for its authentic Louisiana blues, neon lights and casual atmosphere.
For dinner, savor upscale Southern flavors at Juban’sin Baton Rouge. Keeping it casual? Stop by The Chimes for local beers and hearty Cajun fare. Stay downtown at the historic Watermark Baton Rouge, a luxury hotel inside a former bank building.

Days Three & Four: New Orleans
Your golf adventure continues just outside New Orleans in Jefferson Parish at TPC Louisiana, a Pete Dye–designed masterpiece and home to the PGA’s Zurich Classic. After your round, head back into the city to experience Frenchmen Street, where brass bands, jazz clubs and dance halls create one of the most energetic live music districts in the world.
For dinner, indulge in New Orleans’ famed dining scene. Try Cochon for rustic Cajun dishes or Herbsaint for refined Southern cuisine. The next day, play Bayou Oaks South, one of the oldest golf sites in the state. Conveniently located on the streetcar line, it’s easy to pair a morning round with city exploration. Spend the afternoon enjoying the New Orleans Museum of Art in City Park or take a leisurely walk beneath the live oaks.
Cap off your visit with a performance at Preservation Hall, the legendary home of New Orleans jazz, before winding down at The Roosevelt New Orleans, blending luxury with timeless Southern charm.
