Discover Corney Creek, a peaceful tributary in the Kisatchie National Forest. Wood ducks and vibrant green-and-yellow foliage dot the trail, which winds through towering pines and verdant hardwood forests. Begin at Corney Lake. Along the route, you’ll find several entrances to other creeks — some leading to Lake D’Arbonne.

Extend your adventure at nearby Lincoln Parish Park, where some of the top-rated mountain-biking trails in America wind through forested greenspace. Lincoln Parish guests are welcome to bring pets, start campfires and use the ground’s free Wi-Fi, too. Hoping to stay indoors? City dwellers will enjoy venturing through 18 blocks of downtown Ruston.
