Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum & Veterans Archives

The Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum (TAAHM) showcases African American heritage through writings, inventions, photos, artwork, and history. The museum focuses on the black experience from a historical perspective. TAAHM is comprised of eight galleries covering the history of the Florida Parishes, a genealogy lab, art, artifacts, the Underground Railroad, African American greats in music and sports, and African American inventions. The museum also features 24 unique murals depicting African American history.
