The Louisiana Orphan Train Museum is a museum about orphans and The Orphan Train Movement. The Louisiana Orphan Train Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting and preserving those items that tell the history of the orphan train riders who came to Louisiana by train from the New York Foundling Hospital. This collection is used to inform and educate the public of The Orphan Train Movement in America from 1854 to 1929.
