Ardoyne Plantation

A working sugarcane plantation since 1838, Ardoyne is unique as the home and contents have been in the same family for 6 generations and tours are given by family. The architectural style sets this home apart from neighboring plantations. Ardoyne is listed on the NRHP as possibly the largest remaining example of rural Victorian Gothic architecture in Louisiana. Descendants of the original owner still reside in the home today and are there to share family stories.
