Wolf Rock Cave

Only known cave in Louisiana used by its early people as a rock shelter. It dates to 2500-1000 BC. Some archaic people lived here for short periods of time. The cave is located just a short distance from the parking area down a scenic trail along Bundicks Creek, in the Vernon Unit of Kisatchie National Forest. Dress for hiking in a wooded, rough terrain area.
