Tom Hiddelston and Marc Abraham on set of I Saw The Light at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.

Northwest Louisiana has seen its fair share of Hollywood, especially when Marvel stars Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen were in the Shreveport and Minden area to film the Hank Williams biopic “I Saw the Light.” Williams’ early performances at the Louisiana Hayride at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium were filmed in the very same auditorium. The Muni’, as it’s locally and affectionately known, hosted many established and rising country stars in the 1940s and 50s – from Elvis Presley to Slim Whitman to Johnny Cash. And if Hiddleston’s rendition of “Jambalaya” kicks off an envie, move it on over to Jacquelyn’s Cafe on Louisiana Avenue (used as a Ft. Worth diner in the movie) for a bowl of Cajun goodness.
