High Gravity Glassworks

High Gravity Glassworks is a glassblowing studio located inside the 1200 Marshall Street building just outside of downtown Shreveport. We allow guests to come in and watch anytime and browse our art gallery. On the weekends, we offer glassblowing workshops where guests get to participate in the experience of making glass art. They get to pick out their work of art and colors, apply the colors to the hot glass and melt it in, then blow and shape the glass using tools to its final form. The glass cools overnight and can be picked up the next day or shipped for an extra fee. Workshops vary seasonally, and are great for children 8 and older; 6 and older for Christmas ornaments. For those seeking real glassblowing skills, High Gravity also offers 8 week glassblowing classes.
