The Gretna Observatory is the largest public observatory in the Greater New Orleans Region. The Gretna Observatory is home to a 16" computer controlled telescope. This wide ranging telescope offers wondrous views of our night skies. The knowledgeable staff will guide and inform you during your stargazing visit. Please be aware that the observatory is only open on Monday and Wednesday nights when the weather is favorable for celestial viewing.
