Baru Bistro & Tapas

Although Baru Bistro started out with very humble beginnings in a building previously an old grocery store, it didn't take long for Baru to build a solid reputation for serving flavorful dishes with a unique twist.

Baru Bistro & Tapas won "Best Latin Restaurant" in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011 in the Gambit as well as "Best New Restaurant" in 2008 in Where Ya't magazine and was the Times-Picayune top 100 restaurants. Also, Baru made its first nationally televised appearance on The Learning Channel in July of 2010 on "The Food Buddha".
