Our mission is to provide the citizens of Louisiana and tourists visiting our legendary state with information and resources regarding the political history and affairs of Louisiana; and to induct those dedicated, committed individuals whose participation in politics have contributed to Louisiana's many political achievements.

The museum is housed in the old Winnfield Railroad Depot (circa 1908) that was donated to the City of Winnfield by the L&A Railroad.

The museum has accumulated over 100,000 items of artifacts and memorabilia relating to politicians and the politics of Louisiana. Included among these items is a 1951 Chevrolet Sedan sound truck utilized by Earl Long in his last campaign, and the complete set of dining room furniture that belonged to Huey and Rose Long.
