Troop Zero
Set in the 1970s, Troop Zero is a heartwarming story about being yourself and following your dreams. The movie closed out the 2019 Sundance Film Festival before airing on Prime, featuring a star-studded cast of the up-and-coming Mckenna Grace, Viola Davis, Jim Gaffigan, and Allison Janney. Young Christmas Flint and her friends – considered misfits by most of the town – set out to join the Birdie Scouts. Their troop is mocked by the others, but their determination gets them into the annual jamboree and talent show, filmed on the grounds of Fairview-Riverside State Park. Visitors can rent the pavilion where the actual talent show took place, and hold their own event or just enjoy a picnic and day on the grounds.
