The Port Barre Lions Club is having its 1st Annual Canoe Races & "Anything Over Rice" Cook off on Saturday, June 21st at the Bayou Courtableau Boat Landing. There are 5 age divisions for the two person canoe races with prizes to be awarded. Fee for the 2 person team is only $10.
The cook off event begins with setup at 7 a.m. and judging at 1 p.m. Fee for a 4 member team is $45.00 Prizes will be awarded for both the canoe races and cook off winners at 2 p.m.
We will have hamburgers, chips, and beverages available for purchase and a live DJ by Party Time Productions. No ice chests allowed.
