The Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival celebrates 90 years with five days of live music, arts & crafts, fireworks, children’s activities, parades, and historic traditions like the Blessing of the Fleet and Mass in the Park.
90th Anniversary Exhibit – Pharr Chapel UMC, Morgan City: Aug 19–27 & Sept 3–6 (10 am–3 pm) and Festival Weekend (Aug 28–Sept 1, 10 am–5 pm).
Mr. Charlie Rig Museum - Aug 28 at 10 am and 2 pm, Aug 29 and 30 hourly starting at 10 am, Aug 31 at 1, 2, and 3 pm, and Sept 2 hourly starting at 10 am.Festival Weekend Highlights:
Aug 28 – Ribbon Cutting, Carnival Rides, Artist Guild Show, Exhibit.
Aug 29 – Arts & Crafts, Cajun Culinary Classic, Petro Pit, music from Caleb Lapeyrouse & Swampland Revival.
Aug 30 – 5K, Children’s Parade & Village, Marketplace, Gospel in the Park, Petro Pit, Chapel Hart.
Aug 31 – Mass in the Park, Pancake Breakfast, Blessing of the Fleet, Street Parade, Fireworks, Petro Pit, Kings of Leon.
