At the far point of the ride, you'll be able to indulge in the beauty of Rosedown Plantation's stunning gardens. This meticulously kept mansion is full of beautiful antiques and original furnishings, making it the perfect spot to take a tour if you have the time. The mansion is surrounded by 28 acres of formal gardens, showcasing vintage plantings with early varieties of azaleas, camellias, rare trees and shrubs. Relax on the veranda and soak in the stunning alley of oak trees that reaches from the house to the access road.

Along the route, you'll also have the chance to visit other historic homes such as The Myrtles Plantation and Butler Greenwood Plantation. In St. Francisville, you'll find plenty of interesting historic sites, along with delicious dining options and breathtaking scenery — some of which inspired the paintings of French-American watercolor artist John James Audubon.
