Cypress Nature Study Center

Discover the natural beauty of Northwest Louisiana at Cypress Nature Study Center. The site features fishing, swimming, 4.5 miles of trails, a picnic area, petting zoo and a comprehensive nature center.

The Nature Center is open to schools and daycares by appointment only.  The Nature Center includes live fish and birds as well as the wildlife exhibits and educational displays.  There are also miles of beautifully maintained nature trails which are open to the public daily. 

Cypress Zoo is located on seven acres inside Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Park encompassed by oak, pine, and sweet gum trees. Built in 1998, Cypress Zoo has provided visitors with a superb learning environment while heightening their understanding and respect for the animals and the surrounding area.
