Morehouse May Madness Street Festival
Location
Looking for an upscale, clean,
family oriented event with great music and food in northeast Louisiana? Save
May 3, 2025 on your calendar. This is the 8th year for the growing and popular
Morehouse May Madness Street Festival (MMM) which takes place in historic
downtown Bastrop where the Morehouse Parish Courthouse is the centerpiece for
the many activities planned for the day and where the streets are closed.
Juried vendors are found in the Courthouse parking lot as well as at other
locations. No festival is complete without outstanding music and food. Look no
further than the west end of the Courthouse for the main stage where there is
fantastic food vendors conveniently located too. Event organizers have made
every effort to make sure there are attractions for all. A kid zone, an art
exhibit, a classic car exhibit, and a motorcycle exhibit are all included. With
seating provided under tents, the heat and any precipitation that might occur
can be avoided. Security and safety are top priority! Without the Morehouse
Parish Sheriff's Department deputies, there would be no festival. They are the
best! The deputies, as well as the Pafford ambulance, are very visible during
the day and insure that those attending the Festival are safe. There is NO gate
fee. To register to be a vendor, for many previous event photos, and for
more information, go to morehousemaymadness.com or find the event on Facebook.
Email [email protected] with any questions. The organizers are all
volunteers and event proceeds are used to make improvements to the community
and for future MMM festivals.
Last year, it was said that "Morehouse is
back." Come see for yourself. The event hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. Be there!
