Four Must-Visit Places for Duck Dynasty Fans
Follow the beards on this self-guided tour.
When "Duck Dynasty" first aired on A&E, viewers immediately fell in love with the Robertson family, which showcases its redneck antics and a life centered on faith, family and ducks each Wednesday night.
Now, fans from around the world travel to Monroe and West Monroe looking to get a taste of the life of the bearded ones. With the help of the Official Duck Commander Hometown Tour, visitors can do just that as they follow in the footsteps of the stars of one of the most popular reality shows in history.
The self-guided tour allows visitors to experience some of the locations from popular scenes and episodes. Here are just a few of the most popular stops:
- Debbie’s Snowballs was the place to go when the air conditioning when out and the boys needed to cool off. And as we know in the South, there is no better way to cool off on a hot day than with a tasty snowball. Debbie’s Snowballs not only serves snowballs in a variety of flavors, but also offers great shakes and other tasty treats.
- And who could forget the Donut Eating Contest at Haskell’s Donuts? Uncle Si put away 32 donuts to win a new camper. (We are still trying to figure out where he put them.) Visitors to Haskell’s can take a seat at the counter where it all went down and have a donut or two … or 32 if they are up for the challenge. Haskell’s is open until noon or when they run out of donuts.
- Landry Vineyard was featured in the Sauvignon Beard episode. Stop by the family-owned vineyard for a tour and meet Jeff and Libby Landry. Tours and tastings are available on Saturdays. You'll definitely want to taste the Redneck Red and Blueberry Merlot. Check out their website for family-friendly special events like live music, tractor tours of the vineyard and
- And of course, a trip to West Monroe is not complete without a visit to the Duck Commander Warehouse. Visitors can take photos under the famous Duck Commander/Buck Commander sign, take a look at the World’s Largest Duck Call or shop in the new retail space. Those lucky enough to visit at just the right time might even experience a beard sighting.
The Duck Commander Hometown Tour is available in two formats, a mobile website and a printed map. You can visit the website to access photos and location details. To receive a copy of the printed map, contact the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau.
